I'm thinking of moving there, and I'd likely get a car after a few months, but I'm wondering if it's feasible to live without one. Thanks a lot! -- John

Sure, you can find a place near one of the city bus routes and maybe get a good bicycle and you can get around okay. It's one of the flatter and more bike friendly cities in the area. Of course there are taxis, Uber & Lyft plus those little scooters you can rent. A lot will depend on where your job is and if you want to go anywhere outside the city it's self. You definitely need a car if you want to leave the city.

Half the students don't have a car with them, quite a few living off campus.
