Hello,
A roofing company sent me an email for breach of contract. Can anyone help with it?
Apparently I signed a contract with a roofing company to replace our roof. They were quoting so much and insurance company denied the amount. I was tired of the followups and I needed to replace the roof soon. Their initial ETA was one month but it went over 7months. So I went with another company and did the work with much lower price. Long story but it’s a valid action from my side morally and ethically but wanted to check the legal aspect of it. Can anyone please suggest how to move forward? The contract has ‘TBD’ for start and completion date. Does it even valid?

Then you'd better hope that contract has a time clause of one month completion in it.

By law, you have three days to cancel any contract. If a company can't fulfill your order within 30 days, you have the right to cancel. Honestly, can't imagine that they are being such jerks about it.

This thread should be moved to real estate discussions.

Did you ever try and cancel the contract in writing BEFORE you contracted with another company?
