I am a mother of 3 young kids, and have been thinking about moving to south western virginia. I need an elementary school that has experience with autistic children, but isnt in a big city or college town. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

I hope you have also posted on a forum aimed at parents of autistic children.
I suspect that what you are looking for may not exist or if it does the county may be unable to give your child the level of services you are looking for.
Have you been on the website of the Virginia Institute of Autism which is located in Charlottesville (a college town).

I also suspect that Charlottesville and/or Albemarle County may be better able to aid autistic students than a rural S.W. Va. county.
