I'm contemplating a move to Southwest Virginia in the near future. Is the following link something of which I should be concerned? I'm moving alone, no children involved, so I don't have to worry about them.

I live in Texas now, but I'm NOT a Texan. I can't believe VA is worse than TX with this problem. I'm so illiterate when it comes to things like this.

If anyone can offer their opinion, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!!

If you are buying a house, make the radon test part of the contract. Then if test comes back high you can try to get the seller to pay for a radon remediation system.

Also don't bother useing that map to pick where to live... I live in a county which is shown as 'low' for radon, but a lot of homes in the area are getting those systems installed. Like the person who posted earlier said, just make sure the test is done before you buy the house.
