I was recently pulled over on Route 50 in Loudon County, going 88/86 in a 55 zone. I was not radared but followed by the police officer and then pulled over, this was around 11:30. My mom was called to come pick me up and I need to appear in court June 30th. I am only 16 years old and only got my license 3 weeks ago. I'm getting a lawyer, I'm just scared I will have my license suspended. Can anyone offer some reassurance?

Word of Advice, Either don't speed or don't get caught.

If you get an attorney, and the Judge is somewhat reasonable, in all likelihood it will be reduced to a lesser charge. Still, I imagine you will also have a suspended or restricted license for a few months (6 mo.), just let this be a lesson! Slow down!

Best case, you get the criminal charge of reckless driving dropped, but your license is almost certainly suspended for a while.
Also, you'll have to attend a driver improvement clinic since you are
under 18 .

Will most likely get your license suspended for 6 months, or if working it might be made restricted (to and form work only), and possibly get the reckless reduced to just speeding. Best advice I can give is to use your cruise control, and keep it set at the limit. Hope all comes out well for you.

You're lucky you have a lawyer. I've been to Loudoun Co Traffic Court lots of times and without the lawyer, you would be SOL.
