I've been considering a move to Rockville from Chapel Hill, NC. I noticed some reasonably-priced sublets in the Bethesda Park condominium community off of Parklawn Drive (and Braxfield Court) in Rockville's 20852 zip code. I was wondering how the area was. I visited once and noticed many day laborers sitting around. Are any of you familiar with the area? Is it safe? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

That whole area is hard to define, it's not known for high crime, but it's deteriorating suburban design makes it seem that way, personally I don't prefer that area. One advantage is that it's very close to Bethesda, North Bethesda or Downtown Rockville. which are major hubs for jobs.

Thanks for the reply, Fissure. It definitely struck me as very unappealing from an aesthetic standpoint, but extremely convenient from a commuting standpoint.
