I have a question. Im thinking of moving NC to Columbia, MD. Does anyone have any tips or thoughts about Columbia. How is the pay rates up there for nurses/cna, either LPN or RN? Have children so i would also want to know how are the schools and crime rate in columbia as opposed to other suburbs in MD.

Columbia is on forbes top 5 best places to live in the U.S. I believe...it's a great area with wonderful amenities and well planned. You will not be disappointed. The only downside to Columbia is that it has a ton of chain restaurants and stores where dc has a ton of independent.. Basically mostly college educated working professionals and families....

It's situated where your 20 mins from Bmore and 30-40 mins from DC (traffic may vary this number).....

The schools are some of the best in the area...nothing bad I can say about Columbia after living there for 8 years....

Columbia is truly one of the best cities for families to live and work. Healthy economy and strong forecasted job growth are key to Columbia's success, it's our top-notch quality of life and outstanding educational standards that attracts families to the area.
