Hi Everyone,

I am looking for some advice on apartments in downtown Silver Spring. I have done some preliminary research and was hoping for some feedback from others that may live there now or in the past. I am looking for a 1 BR apt and looking in the ranges of $1,300 - $1,400. For those that live there, how much have your monthly utilities been? Particularly in the winter... Also, it appears that parking can range from $75-$115ish. Twin Towers is in a good location, within my range, but the building is quite old. However, I may be willing to deal with that since utilities are included in the rent. Has anyone had experience with the Georgian? Or any other apartments?

Thanks for the help!

From my research, I found Blairs Apartments and Southern Management Company which both have several buildings and affordable-ish prices.

I just signed a lease at the Georgian. They are having deal right now so do not go by what there site says. We got the upgraded unit with a balcony for 1480. This does not include utilities but I was told they range from about 80-175 a month. They have non-updated units which aren't bad either. The ones with the balcony start at about 1240 for a one bedroom. All the reviews seem mainly from when the building was under prior management. I keep searching for updated reviews since the new management has been in place.
