I am looking for suggestions for hotels in the DC area that are located close to the National Mall. I have interest in attending the July 4th festivites in the area. I would like to consider hotels such as a Marriot or Hyatt level. Thanks for your suggestions.

I've got the perfect one for you - Downtown Washington DC Hotels- Georgetown DC Hotel Suites- State Plaza, Foggy Bottom . I've stayed there several times, and infact stayed there one July 4th. The walk to see the fire works was all of 5 mins.
