Hello, I am looking for a recommendation for a real estate agent...someone who represents buyers and is really good at what they do. If you know of one or two, send them my way! Thanks

This is a forum about DC suburbs in md, people on here usually talk about their city, or other cities and share info about cities. This is not Long and Foster realitors. If you want more info on real estate in MD, just google it, and you'll find a LOAD of info!

Good luck!

@HumgBird...my sister had a very patient agent who held her hand the entire way. She was the 4th agent my sister had worked with (sister is very difficult) and if she can put up with my sister I figure she had to be pretty assume.

I'll see if I can get her agents contact information for you and send your way.

RedFin is BEST ! --> Redfin's Upper NW and Montgomery Team will take you to see homes, free of charge, and with no commitment
ALSO ---> commission refund to buyers !!! (up to 50%)

Share the Commission | Redfin

Side-By-Side Comparison | Redfin

Our Maryland Real Estate Agents | Redfin

Our Maryland Real Estate Agents | Redfin

Personally I like Nick, Dianna, Polly and Philip Gvinter.

Just went on a tour with Redfin this past Saturday. Good experience, no obligation and I got a follow-up call to boot within 24 hours after the tour. That is the limit of my experience with them, but seem to be good so far.

Two things I would note regarding Redfin.
1) The rebate is only for homes over $200,000. I'm not even sure Redfin will even put in an offer on a home below that price, but you would need to verify this.

2) Redfin (in my opinion) are for buyers who have a little experience under their belt and know the real estate process. I don't know if Redfin would be for your average property virgin.

Again...my experience with them thus far has been great, but I have quite a bit of experience buying and selling real estate so I don't need a lot of hand-holding or guidance as would someone who is entirely new to the homebuying process.

In my opinion for someone with no OR little experience the Redfin is best
because all regular real estate agents will ask you to sign "exclusive buyer contract".
This contact looks like " Catholic marriage " -> you can NOT go away from this contract/agent even if you very unhappy.

What area are you searching in? I would find a realtor that is very experienced in that specific area. Experience is key and if they don't know the ins & outs of the specific neighborhoods you are not going to get the best representation.

Absolutely hire a buyer's agent who both LIVES and WORKS in the area you want to live in. This is very important, regardless of what some agents will try tell/sell you.
