Yeah there's an area off of allentown road and also Charles county that have much cheaper prices. Even with a little increase it is not worth going to Alexandria.

See NBP's post. The governor has a spending problem, not a revenue problem. And I vote Republican in all statewide elections (I am much more varied in my choices for local and national elections) so I can complain. COMPLAIN!!!!! Ok, I am glad I got that off my chest.

You guys are really going to drive all over the place to save a couple of bucks in gas tax? Like I said, I'm only for it if it helps fund the purple and red lines. I take it that is of no interest to many of you?

We talked about this in my physics class today and it turns out the average family spends approximately $4000/year on gas (avg. 12,000 miles driven per year, avg. car is 24MPG, avg. family has two cars) so this gas tax would only add about $150 to that yearly total. Still not great but when you think about it, it's a 3.75% increase.

Proposed red line in Baltimore, not to be confused with DC's red line.

The Purple line is suburban DC (New Carolton to Bethesda).

Glad to see you guys are thinking of us. If they propose this ridiculous tax, then the first thing I want to see is repaving some of these terrible roads in some of the nicest parts of Baltimore. The Red Line is a point of contention, and let's be honest, we'll all be a lot older by the time this thing is in transit.

Well over here, they are already repaving roads and adding new signals and crosswalks. This is one annoy tax but lets hope they are out there repairing the infrastructure.

I wouldn't mind seeing them fix and upgrade the god damn traffic and pedestrian lights in downtown College Park.
