Hi,

We are moving to back to DC metro area in 2 month. My husband just got a job in Greenbelt. I just got a job in McLean, VA. Often I will have to travel to offsite locations in Hyattsville, MD. We have a two year old son and we hope to have more kids. So we would like to move somewhere where the elementary schools are good. We are moving from NJ. We were in a REALLY good school system with OUTRAGEOUS taxes. I would like to try to put them in the public school system, but will try a private school if forced.

We would like to keep a commute time of 1 hour or less for both of us. (Is the commute time realistic)
Where would be a good mid way point?

Thanks so much.

Depends on your budget. Silver Spring is a good place to start. There's also Rockville, but your budget would determine if those are even options. And BTW if you are considering MD, there are going to be a lot of taxes. Perhaps not as much as NJ, but it's more than enough.
