There would plenty of opportunities for a Java Developer. However, much of it involves companies with contracts with the Federal government. So there are smaller numbers of small, startup businesses than in California. If your boyfriend is not a US citizen, he would have to obtain a visa to work legally. We will be married so he will attain his green card through that, then be able to work.
