Nothing like moving to the countryside and trying to turn it into, well, not the countryside maybe your next move can be to turn Rock Creek Park into a massive condo development.

A library would certainly be good though.

Fort Washington shouldn't be countryside. But it should be considered a naturally scenic area in contrast to the other outlying areas of DC proper. I fully support retaining that charm. I just refuse to allow a place I invested heavily in to remain a crummy backwater in DC's front steps.

Are you going to run for office for something? I think that actually might be a good idea because it does sound like you have some good ideas for the area.

Nos. 1, 4 and 6 made me chuckle. Methinks you would be settling in for screams of rage and resistance, and years-long lawsuits, with those solutions.

That's par for the course since FW/OH will fight anything inferring change. Look how long they battled to build the National Harbor, the current lawsuit to stop Tanger from being built, and the pending lawsuit against building a Walmart next to the elementary school. For an area always complaining about the lack of ammenities there is not shortage of attempts to block commerical development. Some argue that these developments are too close to residential developments but given the abundance of housing in the area what project wouldn't be. That said let them come if it increases the number of options (recretional, eating, others).
