You are completely missing the point. Though it may be repugnant to you , there Are a certain number of people who exist without photo Id (in fact a state I've lived in issued photo-less Id until the 90s And does not require anyone who has one to switch).

These people exist. They were quoted in your story! They are real! You ask "who doesn't have Id" well just read your own damn story!

You want to punish them for not keeping up with the times. Sorry, not your call.

There are also people who don't have transportation to go to voting polls too, do you want to change the laws for them too? How many excuses are we going to come up with?

I have asked you, without ID, how do those people prove that they have a right to vote? You can't just let anyone vote. It is only for US citizens so we have to know somehow someway that they are indeed citizens.

Oh my god.

Who says they should be permitted to vote?

EVER HEARD OF THE ****ING CONSTITUTION?

it's that piece of paper you've been wiping your ass with this whole debate.

Closing remarks: I'd be fine with a grandfather clause for ID. Anything short of that is unconstitutional.

How many more polling places are there than dmvs? I'd say it's multiple of 30.

I have asked you to provide stats that people are impersonating voters. It isn't happening.

I never disagree with the Constitution, all I've asked is, how we live in a country of people who are and are not legal citizens of this nation, how do we prove who is who? You refuse to address that point. I've said, if you can prove that it can be done, without ID then I would love to hear it.

Kind of like how many people actually can't afford ID versus how many people are looking for an excuse not to get ID?

When they check ID then we will know. You have to see the video to understand what I mean. It's the same thing I said earlier about the bank knowing if someone is fraudulently drawing out your money.

I think all of the points that were brought up were pointless. Here's why.

People are given birth certificates at birth. People obtain social security cards, and eventually get a state ID.
People register to vote. People vote.

These groups arguing that voter fraud is rampant, well, no election board in their right mind would allow that to fly because. It would make the whole system illegitimate.

People demand they want ID's but its no secret that ID's can be fraudulent, and state ID's can be forged and created. Other groups argue that going to a federal ID system would cost too much and its a violation of the 10th Amendment, another Federal Government intrusion into citizens lives. The ACLU fusses and nobody wins. Poor man doesn't get a free ID and also gets to live off the grid.

To say there is poor people out there who can't afford an ID, but they manage to obtain an EBT, some sort of federal assistance, is ridiculous, impossible.

Let's get at what "they" really want. Meaning these groups bickering back and forth in the news. What they are really fighting for is an excuse. People would love to allow immigrants who came here illegally the opportunity to vote. They would love to give DC representation but would protest if Puerto Rico voted for the same rights. It seems the only way to get anything done is through compromise. Nobody is going to want to add votes that benefit just 1 political party or 1 special interest group. People complain about "poor" people being disenfranchized by not having an ID to vote, but nobody cares about veterans votes that weren't counted because they arrived late from an overseas warzone.

The key is compromise. Its something that both the democratic party, republican party and independents all need to have in this country. Otherwise we sit idle, deadlocked, getting nothing accomplished but pointless words and accusations being thrown back and forth. Which is the case with voting, voter fraud, representation, and these special interest groups along with those who also seek to control everything we do in our daily lives.

Section 2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

I've read your highlighted copy of the amendment a million times.... You just copy and pasting something and not explaining how that even pertains is the problem.

As I've stated I don't think that requesting proper identification when voting is.."denying anyone the right to vote". They still have a "right"...

Just like everyone had a right to life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness.........just because every person has that right here in America...doesn't mean that people often choose to not pursue those goals, or take advantage of certain opportunities, or choose to do illegal things and forfeits certain aspirations...
