Since 2005 I've experienced both counties now. I'm 83YO and you do the arithmetic. I moved from Garland, Dallas, TX back to Maryland to Prince George's County in 2005. That was culture shock for me. The very first time in my life I've experienced PG County.

Right now just happened to look at the news programs on my TV. Decided I needed more of them on my favorites list 2. It was C-SPAN3. Also a Rockville station. That's when it hit me now that I live in Montgomery County.

Compare the County Seats. Rockville is the County Seat of Montgomery County.
Upper Marlboro is the County Seat of Prince George's County.

Where I live it turns out, it's easy for me to travel to Rockville since I live on Norbeck Rd. I've only lived here 2 years. Living in Kemp Mill isn't the same. Kemp Mill, however, is Randolph Rd and that changes into Cherry Hill Rd at 29. Once I discovered this while still living in Prince George's County, it changed my comfort level in all directions. I still use it because I leave all high traffic roads to working people. I think of myself when I lived on 7th Sts S.E and those "country" rides that were luxuries using US 1 to get to Baltimore. So I prefer doing my shopping in old-fashioned country style and pass all the commercial and neighborhood and parklands along the way. Where is the sun at every turn.

This is a whole new way for understanding the Maryland side of Capitol Hill USA for me. Rockville and Upper Marlboro.
