This project has been discussed previously in this forum but its good to see that the media has picked up again. With this project, the police station, Wal-Mart and Tanger Outlets, the Oxon Hill/Fort Washington area is going to see a significant uptick in development.

One word: YES.

I am very happy to hear of the new developments going on, but hope that it increases even faster. Unleash the floodgates and let it come non-stop!

This is definitely needed. Don't forget that they are also renovating the Allentown Splash Park too. That is another added thing.

I didn't hear about that one but that is another plus. That adds to the selling points of the area. I had some friends who recently moved to the are (live in NOVA) that went to the Harbor for the first time over the weekend. They tried to grab dinner but everything was booked. As a result they didn't have a good time but I told them that although it wasn't a positive experience for them, for me it says that the area is still drawing interest which will compound over the next few years as new things are added. The same goes to re-stabilizing the area. The more amenities are afforded, the greater interest from new area transplants to establish roots. Probably won't take affect for about 5 years but this is a great start and I hope the momentum continues.
