I am currently in search of my first home in the area. While I am from DC, grew up between Northeast DC and Hyattsville, MD, I have been gone for a number of years living in Charlotte, NC.
Coming home about a year or so ago, I have noticed a increased change in the segregation of families in areas, especially with the Latino community branching much further than Langley Park. I have also noticed an increased amount of home being sold or foreclosed on in the southern Maryland areas such as Clinton, Fort Washington, Waldorf, etc. Why is that? Where are people moving to now? I know the DC area is revamping their developments and what not, attracting a number of younger singles and even families, but why does it seem like so many people are moving from PG County and Charles County at such high rates?

You might want to narrow down exactly what you need help with. There are already extensive threads on changing demographics in PG and the DC area as a whole. I see you already posted in one of them.

Not sure they are moving from PG county as much as migrating to other areas of PG. PG county was one of the worst hit areas in the state when the housing market crashed. But there are now many new developments and the county is diversifying rapidly now. If you need any help finding a new home, I'd be happy to help. I work in both DC and metro area MD.
