Hi Everybody,

I am moving to MD soon for a job. Initially plan to stay with a friend which would mean a commute of about 40 miles from Upper Marlboro to Rockville. Can any body please tell me how much time will it take for this commute. I am ready for 60-70 minutes each way.

Thanks

Ket

your friend may have better answers - but I'd think that 60 min commute would only be do-able if you left like at 5am. You are going to the opposite side of the beltway - take the northern route, and you'll be dealing with traffic going I-495 West. South, you'll be dealing with the Wilson Bridge... either way pretty much sucks.

Sorry to not have better answers - but that is pretty much the reality of DC traffic. I did the reverse commute when I went to University of Maryland (coming from the Rockville area).. and that was about 40 min against the traffic. And that's only about 3/4 of your commute.
