-cultural diversity is limited outside of Northern PG. I've never lived in a place with so much group-think in my life. Zero hyperbole. But that could be because it the only suburban area I've ever lived in for a substantial amount of time.

-I also find PG people to be extremely carer focused or self-centered. Jus, not a homey welcoming feel, lack of community compared even to SEDC.

-"soon to be amenities"=not many amenities. Add to that-very poor road and highways, sub-par and outdated (crumbling?) retail all over the place. Poorly managed apartment complexes abound (See: Morgan Properties)

-It's disjointed, ho-hum, weaker schools, lacking good public parks/space, long commutes, not all that culturally diverse. Many areas of older, ugly, smallish housing. Few urbanized/walkable nodes which people actually do tend to like whether they realize it or not.

-(very) high (violent) crime for a suburban area

-All that being said it represents something very important in America and especially for black people. Middle-class ability near a prosperous city center. With black elected officials.

Still, I'd prefer Western/North Western Baltimore County for black people. Aesthetically more pleasing (green sloping hills, more housing style variety, more park space) and much less traffic
To add to this despite the high crime there is an INSANE!! amount of police presence and they’re not particularly friendly. There’s a huge emphasis on law and order which I assume is from all the governmental/military types. I hated it. Speed bumps that are way to old and high that damage your undercarriage all over the place, speed traps/cameras every g****mn where. All to no avail because you still see broken down cars on 301, 50,Suitland Parkway, BW Parkway as though to furniture! Often left for days on end. Visiting friends in apartment complexes is a hassle as visiting policies/passes are BEYOND draconian and towing is overzealous and frequent.

I never “got used to it” and it wasn’t something I ever wanted to get used to. It felt like a constant test/assault on my civil liberties.

If I never have to go back to PG a day in my life it’ll will be too soon.

" corrupt cops...", They were noted for saying they couldn't understand why so many just kept "beating their faces on the tables in the interrogation rooms".

the answer to the thread question is right here in this comment. Prince George's is majority Black and that is its biggest problem for most people.

The only issue I have with PG County is the rush hour traffic but other than that I always enjoyed the amenities like Six Flags America or take my wife and kids shopping/movies/restaurants there. Love seeing PG County growing and thriving inside and outside the beltway. Everyone here in the DMV area have that love/hate relationship toward the county or community he/she currently reside and have issues with other counties in the state.

This isn’t true at all, I live in Beltsville and it’s mostly hispanic with a good black population, wherever you’re getting your information is wrong, hell even my high school is 70-80% hispanic.

A lot of blue collar white people work in Beltsville. Most of them live outside the county though.

It's a troll account. They only have 5 posts in total, all on the same day. Three of them related to anti-vax/lockdown COVID.

Beltsville is only 23% non-Hispanic white. It 34% Hispanic and 33% Black.
