Yep, drove by it a few days ago and looked pretty crowded. Hope RR does well, that stretch of northern Rockville Pike/Hungerford Drive is desolate in some areas.

Oh my, definitely a sight for sore eyes. I haven't had the chance to get to the Rockville one but it'll be awesome to have Roy's back 10 minutes near me. Best fast food chain in America

About time! I remember they disappeared and then I ran into one in Hagerstown. I chowed down that day...double R Bar, roast beef...then, a few years later, I ran into on outside of Alexandra. I use to eat their salad bar just about every day, they had this one salad dressing that I loved.

Some years ago, I took one of the graduate students from our Research group to a Roy Rodgers a few miles south of Brookhaven National Lab in Shirley LI. I ordered my usual 2 piece white meat fried chicken a small strawberry shake and small fries. My student just bought a coke and a their cheapest burger. Then took the Styrofoam box it was in and filled it with lettuce, tomato slices, an onion slice and then put a lot of mayo on top topped with a pickel. When I asked him what he was doing , his reply was he was having the free salad from the fixings bar. Count on an impoverished graduate student in physics or chemistry to know all the tricks.

Roys brings back great childhood memories. From their thicker fries dipped in my combo of spicy horseradish and bbq sauce to their double R burger, i never had a bad meal there. Anyone remembered they had steak and cheese sub there too?
