I have some questions:

1) Can you buy tickets at the Germantown station?

2) Is it right that when you enter the train, you don't show your ticket, but during the ride, people come to check your ticket?

3) If you buy the Weekly Ticket on a Wednesday, would it be still valid the next Monday and Tuesday?

4) If you buy the Monthly Ticket on October 15, do you get a discount or would it still be valid on November 14?

We think you can figure out the answer for yourself. Monthly tickets are good for the month printed on the ticket. There is no discount for partial months: MARC Fares | Maryland Transit Administration The same with weekly ticket; they do not carry over, and are good only from Saturday to Friday.

There is a self-service kiosk to buy tickets in Germantown.

What happens to passengers who depend on MARC to get home when something like this happens:

MARC train and dump truck collide; Brunswick Line service suspended - The Washington Post

Everyone gets home 2 to 3 hour late as the article said. You might try hiking off the train to a highway to catch a cab or bus.

You probably have to find another way home, my guess.

I thought MARC would find a way to get those people home, like busses or something. People paid for their tickets and expect the service.
