Until they drive on the war zone like streets leading to the white elephants. 5 years will tell the story.

PGC will not benefit from MGM as an Indian reservation does. This is more true for the entire state. I am but minutes away and never wanted a casino nearby. How many county residents will frequent the place regularly?

I'm not seeing that from the rendering which either is not precise or we're looking at simply a conceptual view of what the hotel tower will look like. The rendering looks as if everything is going to fit inside of the streets already paved there.

It doesn't matter. The DC area draws people from all over the world. NoVa and parts of DC have some of the highest incomes in the country.

MGM is projected to have the highest profits among the 6 casinos as a result. Therefore, PG County will receive funds that may be the highest among jurisdictions with casinos. I have been to both Maryland Live! and the Horseshoe in Baltimore and I live in neither Anne Arundel or Baltimore City.

These casinos aren't built to be local casinos only. They are built as destinations for people outside of the immediate area.

Although Maryland Live! is kind of small compared to the Horseshoe and MGM. Which is why they are expanding to compete.

Nope, Arundel Mills Circle hugs the very edge of the casino complex right now. They are going to have to build way out into the woods to fit a convention center, or conference center they are calling it, and hotel there.

Apparently inflation is driving people to gamble. This revenue breakdown also confirms my last post that MGM would always take the lion's share being the flagship casino of the 6.

MGM National Harbor had a particularly strong month. It accounted for more than $115 million in total October gaming revenue, up 105.8% from October 2021, a number confirmed by Maryland Lottery and Gaming. Its gains drove the monthly record for casinos.

Live! Casino & Hotel at Arundel Mills had $59.7 million in October gaming revenue, down 1.9% from a year ago. Baltimore’s Horseshoe Casino had $17.4 million in gaming revenue, up 1.5%.
