Now where are these people going to live guess what in your county,in your community. YOu see Pg county is already pushing the lower income families to Charles County and Baltimore city and county some are even moving in to Howard county. Also the county is increasing the property tax.

The problem is America love to punish. We are building more jails faster then we are building educational centers. We lock them up instead of educating them. Do you ever consider that one day these criminals have to be free and enter society then what. We do not have enough educational facilty to accommodate the amount of criminals or regualr citizens who need a trade or some type of educational relieve program.

If someone gets arrested they get put in jail the same day. When that person gets out of jail and needs help they have to wait months or sometimes years to get help. The country is back wards.
Iscalder, accepting what you are saying we can trace the blame to President Bill Clinton. Had Clinton had the courage and foresight of George Bush, PG would already be where you want it to go. Clinton should have done a domestic move like Bush did on the international front and that is regime change in PG. He should have formed a coalition of the willing like Bush did. Clinton should have used his considerable influence to align Fairfax, Charles, Anne Arundel, Howard and Montgomery Counties and invaded PG back then. With the combined forces of those counties police departments and financial resources we could have removed the corrupt regime and instituted housing and education reform along with imposing a strong criminal code. The state like the UN could have been held at bay with accusations of the PG menace spreading state wide. Issues in Baltimore would have also helped to distract. Once order was restored the needed economic improvements would have flowed. You would have National Harbor done, fancy restuarants and gated communities galore. The lower income would have been? Hmmmmmm need to think about that one? We need someone to be Jordan and Syria? I know they would have rushed to Baltimore City and Baltimore County. As you can see I have documented that all of this is a result of the failures of Bill Clinton.

Just kidding.

I watched the crime march from hyattsville, landover, riverdale etc...,etc...I remembered a time when Prince George's co. police did everything in it's power to contain the crime from going eastward or north. I remember the cops making tons of arrests and their tactics working, and I also remember them backing down and letting suspects and cars that should of been pulled over go by because of the black community being outraged. And I remember the cops pulling their stats out with something like 75% arrest rate for narcotics and other felonies. They had to stop these tactics. And the games begun. If I remember correctly the metro bus was put in about the same time, and the citizens fought hard to derail that one, but lost-ya know there's almost a direct correlation between the burst of crime and that metro bus? To any county/state planners reading this-DO NOT PUT PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IN YOUR JURISDICTION. In 1984 there was like 5,000 stolen cars, in 2004 there was like over 16,000! From 1984 until 2004 murders have jumped over 300%? In all areas of crime? All together over a 60% jump in violent crime in 20 years? How does this happen? The population didn't grow 10,000%? The smartest thing anyone can do for their family is move away. Stop trying to beat a dead horse, get over the fact as I did, there is nothing you can do.
Now what I want is simply containment. Like nuclear fall out-put up a big fence with radioactive signs and keep the "fallout" within the border-It's that easy. And Maryland state govt. give P.G. enough money to expand Upper Marlboro jail by 5 times it's current size to stop letting the criminals out!

CONTAINMENT PEOPLE!
You need to go back and finish reading "The Klan: An Introduction".

You sound like one of those white hooded sissies.

We're already doing that as we speak:
Anne Arundel w/ Beechtree
MoCo w/ the Greenbelt and College Park revitalization plans
Howard w/ Konterra
Fairfax w/ National Harbor

Yeah see that's the thing---It's not read out of a book. Those numbers are factual and my experience was real. So the best you can throw at me is that I'm racist in some way? Why do I have to be racist telling the truth?

It brings a tear to my eye to have seen what has become of P.G. I don't think the klan teaches that.

Stop trying to hide the truth and do something about what has happened and is happening. If you don't than you except that type of lifestyle. Sorry I just wont live around wild, on the loose criminals with a almost excepting type attitude from the community they pillage from.

Go talk to Bush and the many other clowns that have come before him that we worship and deify who are more concerned about the rich getting richer and poor poorer. How they are for protecting credit card companies pharmaceutical companies and ensuring other big business are reaping in the dough. Go look into the Bush's CIA relationship and the effect it has on this country and we as a society etc etc.

Anybody who comes along with the intent of redistributing the wealth in this country and jeopardizes the powers that be will be taken out quickly. All the so called intelligence agencies will be after them and you can be assured they will be snuffed out if they are a legitimate threat to this political structure.

They are capitalizing off of people like you and instead you blame the county. 90% of the wealth is in the hands of 10% of the people. The tax structure is set up to buffer the rich. Go hate on that. This is not exclusive to PG County. Go in front of the WHITE HOUSE and protest this and do something they don't like and see how fast your A-- is locked up.

The county certainly has it issues but please people need to start being objective and not turning their warped hate into negative biases.
RFMD, I have not tried to make this a county issue. I have an entire grassroots political plan laid out for the nation yet I can only apply some of it to the topic at hand which is PGC. Others here are trying to insist the county will be a utopia as well as a playground for the wealthy. I don't see it happening. Palm Beach, FLA is full of rich people that are not far from ratted out lower income housing. Both need survive as one serves the other.

As far as me going up to the hill and talking to our elected officials - why don't all of you do me a favor and register to vote and we can do it en masse. My voice is hollow whereas a crowd speaks volumes. It is beyond the president, however. The real power lies with congress and the senate. They are who hold the purse strings. If you had paid attention in school you would know this. Get a copy of the constitution or bookmark this site Constitution of the United States - Official

How anyone is capitalizing off of me is a joke in your mind. I want the best for this county - I live here, yet I see its downfalls. We have Iscalder with her Hitler-like message of hate the poor and run them out. (Any correlation to the Jewish slums in Poland?) I see this as wholly iresponsible as all crime is being laid at their feet as well. How about the middle class kids that drink&drive and wreck the cars mom&dad just gave them? They are the ones on the news in torn up new cars. The poor kids don't have that luxury.

I don't think you quite know how to form an original idea about any of the issues that PGC or the USA faces and offer a solution.
Throwing money at it is surely not the bandaid and that has been proved several times in the past 200 years. People are still dying of hunger and AIDS in Africa and Asia yet they have all the money they need and volunteers there to do the work. It won't work here either.
Hate on that for a while. Whatever that means...

Wait a minute I need clarification since we are now going in a different direction.

When you say redistribute the wealth I hear redistribute what people earn. Are you saying that should take a greater part of what one person earns either through work or investments and give it to people who have not EARNED or INVESTED as well. Should taxes from capital gains be increased to be redistributed those with capital losses or to those who never bothered to invest? Even a passbook savings account works for investment purposes. Should American WORKERS have to work more hours to take home as much money? Now I see why people are fleeing Maryland. Aren't the American people already suffering from ripped pockets with so many hands trying to get in there?

The irony about fish is that he think he's conservative, but he's what i consider a true liberal. Wants wealth redistrubtion or socializism. Prefers blacks are beneth him, so he can feel better about his lot in life. Totally disdains their success when they are above him. Is more than happy to point out all of the poor/lower/middle class blacks faults, but the black one's that are doing all the things that he should have done to move into the upper classes of socieity he holds in contempt. He then thinks himself conservative, because he dislikes the value system of poor blacks as if this is some monumental brain child on his part and something that is not disdained by blacks regardless of class who have good value systems.

I'm sorry too many whites seem to think being conservative means being racist. The two are not married and have never been. One of the greatest conservatives in American History happens to be black (Booker T. Washington). There is a fraction of the party that enjoys this, but this is by no means a conservative value. Clearly fish is more liberal than conservative as long as the negros are poor he's happy with "helping them out." The minute they pass him on the economic scales there's obviously a severe problem in this country with wealth accumulation. What a folly!

However, when you look at places like Baltimore City, Atlanta, and PG County, these same jokers and lazya**es are somehow maintaining a reasonable financial status and/or still reigning terror after they [barely] graduate or drop out from high school. These same hooligans are driving around in Bentleys and Cadillacs and wearing all sorts of name-brand clothing. That's one the main reasons why I can't stand the pro-welfare, hand-me-out mentality of this nation (and especially this state). I assume that what happens when you have the idiots, wannabe gangsters/rednecks, and f**ktard stereotypical militants control an area. But I guaran-damn-tee you if it was a socially legit place like *cough* Canada, Europe, the west coast (except LA), the Northwest/Southwest, Minneapolis, Denver, or even NoVA *cough,* the ones who worked the hardest would have the highest standard of living, and the exact would go for the opposite for the other group.
Fairfax, you and I know normally see eye to eye, but i've got to call you on somethings I totally disagree with you on. The poor/lower middle class black population is not maintaining any degree of financial stability in Atlanta, Baltimore City, or Prince Georges County. The lazy a$$ are the one's that are continually poor and if they do not change their habits or instill work ethic within their children will remain in that state. Affluent black kids are not out reigning terror on anyone. Kids that come from 200k+ income homes are not out selling drugs, shooting other blacks, or faling out of school. The problem as it has always been is the poor and working class, and now to an extent the middle and some of the economically advantaged that buy into that "militant" non-sense and continue to prepetuate this foolish behavoir upon their children as socially acceptable. While it is not as destructive to the upper societies it continues to wreck havoc on the lowers.

I'm not sure what poor black person other than a rapper is driving around in a Bentley? Last I checked that's a 200k car, so when did government trasnfer payments, that i might add are not in cash allow a poor person to go buy a Bentley? If you say from drug dealing most of the blacks that deal drugs are the extreme lower levels of the business structure, so they are cleary not bringing in enough to buy a Bentley. Regardless of what American Gangster or some lying Rapper says.

However Fairfax, my main argument is with the countries you mentioned, Canada, and Europe have unemployment rate in the 15% range and are nothing but socialist places where the hardest workers are not remotely as rewarded as they are in America. Geez, not to mention that all of those places have higher overall crime rates than the US, because of extremely laxed sentencing and high recidivism rates.

This is the only country in the Western World that rewards, hardwork, risk taking, and innovation at high paces, so regardless of what state your in this is not taken away.

We are also the only western county that severly punishes most of our criminals even for ticky tack crimes. Look at sentencing rates between the US and the UK to see what i mean.

I do not believe in giving hard working citizens money away to those who just want to lay on their backs all day long and not wanting to work. We have to realize that poor or low income families are in all race. I remember seeing a white couple and their 3 children who live in a motel and can not afford to feed their children, it was sad to see chldren beg for food. The children were dirty looking, hungry and the father was a drunk who would beat the mother in front of the children. Stories like this are in every race so I do not understand why only point on one race.

Truthhurts: you seem to love calling black children Millitant but to many no matter how much wealth your family have or the size of home to many your children are nothing but black millitant children. I hate it when people point fingers at little children and call them names. You disgust me with that. its something else to call a grown man or woman name but children. I bet right now to some of your white business partners or friends when you step out the room they might be calling you that black *****. But here you are pointing fingers at other blacks when other race might be calling you those exact names you calling your own people. You do know some people only see the color and know matter how you try to prove you are different, no matter how much education you think you might have to many you will still and always be that black *****. Its the truth and blacks are starting to live for ourself now and can careless what you or other whites think because they have their own issues too. We all do so is it fair to only point at another while not judging ourselves.

i cry (not really) sometimes reading the horrible stuff about Prince George's County.. i have lived here all my life, and most of the bad stuff happens INSIDE THE BELTWAY... near the DC borders... when people talk about the crime.. they are really talking about Temple Hills, Oxon Hill, Capitol & District Heights, Langley Park. Have you forgotten about Accokeek, Cheltenham, Mitchelville, Woodmore, Eagle Harbor (i bet you havent even heard of some of those towns)... the list can go on and on
