This may have been discussed before but wanted to see what everybody thinks about the future use of this old school building should be (Thomas Addison Elementary School, 7100 Oxon Hill Rd, Oxon Hill MD), if MGM renovates and return it back as promised.

School would be great, PK-6.
And other alternatives are Community center or may be PG Community College campus.

Interesting -- thanks for bringing this up. The former Thomas Addison ES is across from National Harbor, and south of the commuter parking lot. I believe it was originally built in 1954, then was closed around 1990 or so along with several other nearby elementary schools including Harmony Hall ES (which became a parks-and-planning community arts center) and Rosecroft Park ES (which was bought by the National Church of God). Then it became a facility called "The Williams Center."

From that link: “Our vision is that the MGM will invest approximately $4 million to renovate the property, which will then be used as a recruitment and training center,” Creighton [President of MGM National Harbor] said. “Once MGM National Harbor opens, MGM will return the renovated property to Prince George’s County as a fully functional building.”

How'd that work out for us? Good to know our elected officials are on top of this.
