My wife and I visited one in the Boston area visiting family knowing one was coming to Riverdale Park. We were impressed with the cocktails. Food was pretty good. If I could compare it to a known restaurant chain in the DC area, I would compare it to the Lettuce Eats restaurant group. Or Wildfire at Tyson's Galleria. Not quite Capital Grille, but more refined than Outback Steakhouse if you know what I mean.

Hmmm interesting. I am excited. Here's hoping for more retail!

I want to see what the new restaurant under the new Cambria Suites being built in College Park looks like. The owner said his vision is a power /lunch/dinner spot with live jazz and a grand piano. I'd like to see the price point as well.

If it works out, we can have more variety of nice places to eat closer to home. Nothing beats eating in downtown D.C., but at least we won't have to travel to MoCo or HoCo to get fine dining. I'm seriously considering eating at Burton's for Valentine's Day.

Went to Burton's Grill last night. It was refreshing to eat in a place that was truly "upscale" and not "Ruby Tuesday upscale." lol

All in all, it was a pretty nice experience. The ambiance is definitely upscale. Low lighting, carpet, extensive wine list, etc. I'd say it was about 75% full of patrons when we arrived at 7pm. The service was not perfect only being open for a couple of days. But it was bearable understanding that most of the servers were new. The manager comped our meal because our food took a while. I was pleasantly surprised because we weren't waiting too long. There's waiting and turning your head to see if your food was on the way and then there's waiting and asking for a manager. We weren't quite at the point of asking for a manager yet. But the assistant manager took the initiative and got us our food with a comp.

We will be back. I suggest stopping by. I hope it stays and becomes a fixture in the community.

I went on Tuesday. It was ok. Food was a little cold but it was only the second day. I will probably return. I anticipate walking or biking there in the spring/summer. I am impatient to see what else opens up. The storefronts are so cute. I think a kids store would do well there.

Yeah. Our food was warm. I expect it to take a few weeks for everyone to get into a groove. We were impressed with the one in Boston. But of course, that one had been open for years.

I saw the FedEx store as well. I still shake my head that they were able to get such an architecturally pleasing retail space. Especially since there are two large spaces available in the building where Gold's Gym will be.

I envisioned a cafe of some sort there. Hell, even a Wagshals. Yes, I'm dreaming. lol But, it would just be nice. :-)

Have they started construction on the hotel yet? I thought the opening date was supposed to be 2020.

Not at all...retail so far is Xfinity, Sprint, and Fedex Office...very disappointing line-up...but the food line-up is very good imo and the whole foods is awesome...and the bank is local which I view as a positive...and the homes are selling...and although the gym is overpriced, I'm sure it will boom...I wonder if more appealing retailers want to wait for residential and the hotel to actually realize before they'll want commit
