i dont remember if this was the route they took me on. i went to this mva though. i literally drove in a circle and then came back to the mva..

I agree. Without traffic, this route would have taken about 2 minutes - 10 minutes with traffic/lights.

Wow you drive on real roads for the driving test? Used to just be some little street simulation they have at the MVA and I took mine at Gaithersburg 15 yrs ago.

Yes, I think it is harder now - still no interstate driving.

I'm not sure that this is the entire test. Don't you also have to back in to a space, ,and do one of those 3 (or was it 6) point turns?

Correct, this is just the road portion of the test. You still need to do the turn. As for parallel parking, see this link:

BTW, here is another route for the test - similar but with a few extra turns.
