I don't understand an article like this. It's not "news"! I mean if you live in Silver Spring and work in North Poto...Gaithersburg, then of effing course you'll drive!

The reality is 60% driving is very low compared to other metro areas. So them even reporting this as high is a bit deceptive. Because it is not. DC has the second lowest automobile usage rates in the country. NYC of course is number one. Again this article is pushing out a bit of a false narrative.

A lot of Millenials in other parts of the country would like to be in that 40%.

What a "duh" article. Surely much more than 40% of millennials would love being able to walk/bike/metro to work (who wouldn't pick that over DC's traffic?), but the reality is living in the job centers and near metro stations is very expensive. Of course most Millennials can't swing that.

I don't disagree, but you picked a bad example. Ride-On has a decent bus network in Gaithersburg, but not so much in North Potomac. There aren't many jobs in North Potomac, which is a different place than Gaithersburg, BTW. Maybe better to say if you live in Silver Spring and commute to Damascus, or Frederick, or places like those.
