Hey all. I am here on business this week and was wondering if you guys can recommend a good sushi place in this area?

If not, other recommendations would be appreciated... I would rather stay away from chain restaurants (ie: Friday's, etc)

Sushi Sono in Columbia. Best sushi I've had in the DC/MD area. If you read Zagats they give it a 28 for food which is the highest in the area (with the exception of one other place in DC). Take 95 North to exit 41=175-go west towards Columbia. On 175 you will go through several lights, probalby like 3-4 miles once on 175. When you see a mall on your right (big mall, will see macys, nordstrom, lord and taylor), look for a restaurant on the left side of the road that has some pink neon lighting on the roof-you will make a left right before that restaurant (don't know the name, sorry). Follow that road for a very short distance until you see a parking garage on your left. The restaurant is across from the entrance to the parking garage and down the stairs-you'll see it on your right. Directions sound complicated but they are not-it is a direct shot.

Best sushi (IMO) on the menu: Red Snapper Appetizer Sashimi (it's 9-10 pieces of Red Snapper,no rice-amazing), bridal veil roll, hurricane eye roll, crunch spicy tuna roll or crunchy spicy tuna handroll, Otoro appetizer. YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
