My boyfriend and I are looking for an one bedroom apartment to stay in and around Silver Spring. We came across an apartment complex called The Delano. We are not particularly fond of Aelphi, as we heard some people saying it's not a safe area. The reviews seem to be pretty promising, but who knows if they are real reviews from the tenants or not.
Does anyone know about this place or this area?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think is is an OK area. It is close to the University of Maryland, and next to a Catholic religious order building.

The apartments are gated, and if they are renovated, it seems like a good place.

The delano is really great! Adelphi is a OK area near UMD like the other person said. Its conveint and many people enjoy their stay at the delano. Make sure to compare other apartments in the area as well, like Daniels Run or Arbor vista.

good luck!
