So you live right off Central Avenue and you think that where you live is bad you recommend that it is not suitable for a weekend stay?

No I'm off Central Ave/214 outside the beltway now, but have lived inside the beltway before and know the difference.

I agree with Positive Control to some degree. My new job responsibilities takes me all over DC proper. There are a lot of places in DC proper even in NW DC that hasn't quite turned over yet and a visitor can find themselves a tad nervous at times in those areas.

I used to live over by Addison Road a long time ago when things were really bad. It's not so much bad anymore. And no, a family won't be able to walk to the local family restaurant, movie, theater, or bowling alley for any family fun after sightseeing.

So if one had to choose, they might as well be closer to downtown and that's in DC proper. But again, it depends on the areas you choose and what level of "urban reality" you can tolerate. There's no sense in staying in the suburbs if you can afford to stay in DC.

Its not that Peppermill Village is the Vacation Spot, the area is. If you wan a reasonably priced place to stay, centrally located in the County with Easy metro access without paying arms and legs it is a nice spot. I know my neighbor rents his house out on Air BNB, etc.

I think peppermill village is cool. I don't live to far from there. People have had horrible experiences. Some have lived there entire life without any issues. Has far as the gas station robbery commented on. Buy a Tesla. Boom..
