Just drove by Woodmore yesterday, the Silver Diner now has a sign saying they're opening November 13th at 4 PM for dinner. Breakfast won't start until November 18th, however.

For anyone who hasn't visited a Silver Diner recently, it's definitely worth a visit. There's a lot more variety on their menu than one would expect.
Their food is surprisingly good. They also have a brunch with mimosas and locally sourced food items. They are definitely reaching for more than just a place to get the minimum breakfast and late-night fare.

Check out their chef menu. I may have to stop by again!

The demolition of the Boulevard at Capital Centre in order to build the new "Carillion" development commenced in June of this year. They posted this very satisfying video of the demolition along with the news:

Looking through their development documents, here are the tenants that are staying (at least for phase 1):

Chuck E. Cheese. TGI Fridays, LongHorn Steakhouse, Chick-fil-a, M&T bank, and Golden Corral

Looks like Largo development is heating up in 2020. County just filed a detailed site plan (DSP-12025-01) for Largo Town Center, just South-East of Carillon (Largo Drive West X Lottsford Road). Text of the filing is as follows:

CONTRUCTION OF 2 MULTIFAMILY BUILDINGS INCLUDING 532 UNITS AND 7952 SQUARE FEET OF GROUND RETAIL WITH REVISIONS TO THE PROPOSED STORMWATER FACILITIES AND PARKING ON SITE

They might wanna put in another Wawa while they're at it. That one on Ritchie-Marlboro is busy on a Sunday at 3am!

There's going to be apartments next to the Capitol Court (Stanley Martin) development. Some of the owners are upset about it.

Yeah I had to stop going there because of how absurdly busy it is.

Same! I don’t bother with that gas station or that exit most of the time.

Small development, but I'm still curious. Does anyone know what's going in at 8710 Central Ave?

There's a McDonald's there now, but I just got the notice for a Detailed Site Plan with the description: "RAZE ALL EXISTING STRUCTURES AND REBUILD FOR A EATING AND DRINKING ESTABLISHMENT WITH DRIVE-THROUGH SERVICE."

In theory they could just be rebuilding the McDonald's, but would that make sense considering there's already a new McDonald's 0.4 miles away at the corner of Central Ave & Ritchie Rd?
