If you are right, it would be the most uncontested, non-news generating, secret Wal-Mart build of all time. It would be like a new playground being built. Bu even new playgrounds get press.

Idk who else has been over to Woodmore, but there's a lot more pavement being laid, and new buildings have arose in the past month or so. I also saw a mini playground erected from the area that is still mostly dirt, looks like more residential is on the way.

Thanks for reposting here. Is there a way to merge the New Carrollton thread with this one? As I intended to make this one include New Carrollton originally.

UPDATE
That building we're all seeing is NOT the Wal-Mart. Not sure what it is but there IS a Wal-Mart coming to the marketplace soon. But it is not THAT building.

Please define "soon". Wal-Mart was first mentioned for Ritchie Station Marketplace back in 2005 as nothing more than a hopeful plan from the developer. Subsequent articles said those plans were halted. I still google "Wal-Mart at Ritchie Station Marketplace." and find no mention of it in any planning docs or phases. Does "soon" mean maybe in the next 10 years? Please provide recent sources. I can't find any. From here it looks like the developer gave up on Wal-Mart and decided to move forward with other retail.

2005 Article

From the retail broker's website.

Ritchie Station Marketplace

Here is their overview of the project. No Wal-Mart mentioned.

And if you think that parcel labeled as "Future Retail" may be it, look at how small the parking lot is. Wal-Marts usually have minimums for parking spaces and from this picture, I'd think a Wal-Mart wouldn't be going in on that parcel either.

This is evident by the site plan below:

How soon I don't know. Again, it's not my territory. All I know is the guy whose territory it is has been informed, as well as our company, Wal-Mart is being built there. And soon enough to where he's auctioning off the rights to the store because he doesn't want it. But how soon I'm not sure. I'll find out more info though because now I'm curious

Two steps forward, seven steps back:
Teacher morale being crushed in Prince George's | WUSA9.com

And before anyone says that the issues don't connect, yes they do. Schools are part of the package.
