Seems like there should have been active sprinklers in there so close to opening. THat's a lot of wood to have no active sprinklers. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Not necessarily. They might have been installed and had a final inspection but then shut off until close to completion. Especially if there was still work being done that generated a lot of heat.

Remember a number of years ago when the Courthouse renovation in Upper Marlboro caught fire a couple weeks before completion. I seem to remember it was a welder that caused it. I may be wrong about that.

College Park residents, UMD official discuss WMATA plan to remove metro station parking lot - The Diamondback

Inside a bus parked in front of College Park City Hall, two city residents and one University of Maryland official voiced approval of a WMATA plan to remove the five-acre surface parking lot at the College Park Metro station by 2018.

With an elevator outage forcing the meeting to be held inside a bus, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority officials heard public comments at an open forum Monday night about eliminating the parking lot — pending approval from the Metro Board of Directors — that developers plan to transform into more than 400 apartment units and about 11,900 square feet of retail.

eh I am not excited about capitol bikeshare. They had their chance to be in College Park and declined. People who want to bike to DC will likely have their own bikes.

I can't see why the two can't co-exist. For those who want to go into DC, use CaBi. If you just want to ride around RT.1, use mBike.

Well, my first online impression is that they don't have a website or a menu available. lol Milkboy Philly has a website. Did they forget this important step? My wife asked me what was their menu like and I have no clue.

I was going to walk down there later this afternoon to see if I could snag one.
