We can agree that we need less development in St. Charles or 210 to get as many overpasses as possible, or both.

What does St Charles have anything to do with Ft Washington.Drive straight down Indian Head (rt 210) and see all the development there, maybe stop that development in PG county?

LOL,I have not said one negative word of or about Ft Washington,I said I don't like the road congestion and people here go threw the roof. Why,becuase they are all real estate people and are trying to scare up business .I am a citizen,I have lived and worked and raised a family in Charles ,and PG county all my life.I will tell the truth ...I am not here to make a buck or friends.
With the new casino and everything traffic has gotten insane,to lie about it or say rt 5 is worse is crazy.PG's problem is lack of developmental control many of the problems are the "new developments" such as in Brandywine in PG county right on Branch ave(rt 5) or along 210 Indian Head Hwy.

I am here to make a buck. I have cleared $1M with all my citydata posts. I am also here to make friends. With benefits. Wink wink.

I say St Charles development for the obvious reason that anyone with history in the dorf knows how dramatically it has changed in the last 20 years and with the amount of land still available, it will spell catastrophe for the closer suburbs if it is not stopped. The roads need expansion, but there is no expansion large enough to handle the volume if development happens at the same clip in Charles.

The casino, though I didn't vote for it, hasn't been bad because most of that happens outside working hours. I still hate it, though.

Don't worry about the rude comments by the troll's comments, Baghead. G1 doesn't like the idea of stifling reckless building sprawl in Charles county (because he lives there), but he will go out of his way to rag on MD210. Apparently reading a map is not a prerequisite for that guy. Charles county people, especially Waldorfians, are the ones congesting MD210 as they commute to and from D.C., which means they are the prime reason why Fort Washington is congested. Such a simple concept.

My comments aren't rude ,yours are.I see you agree with my statment about congestion on 210,Thanks.As for " idea of stifling reckless building sprawl" AS YOU SAY,you're right I am not for it,don't know anyone that is ,in Charles county or PG.There are three roads in and out of Charles county ,there is only one in Ft.Washington like I said maybe you should learn to read a map.

Whoa buddy. I know English isn't actually your forte, but you entirely misunderstood what I said. I said that you don't like people '...STIFLING reckless building sprawl.' That means you like urban sprawl, and that those that would try to take a planned approach to building up Charles County are unwanted by you. You mention 3 roads out of Charles county, and yet all the commuters to northern va or D.C. Take Md210. Maybe you should spend some time outside of your rambler retiree house and try looking at traffic patterns for once. A Charles county person making fun of fort Washington congestion during rush hour yet his county is the primary reason for it to be congested to begin with. Classic. That's like Trump level trolling, bruh.

You assume way too much!Who said all the commuters intake 210 ???Indian Head Hwy is only on one side on the county.Try Branch ave and Rt 5 at 6:30 in the AM,I know of commuters on the eastern side of Charles county who drive to Prince Frederik and take Rt 4 in to DC.

You might want to go back to school I used your words not mine describing "sprawl" and as I said I don't want it and know of any one that does.

Route 210 is a mess, so is Route 5, a distinction without a difference. Building a casino has no positive effect on housing and education.

As bad as 210 is, a recent assessment of prices across the metro shows how bonkers the market continues to be. Washington Post Real Estate just touted an old townhouse in Reston (with $120/mo. HOA) "affordable" at $399K. At prices like that, my assessment of FW doesn't change. For all that it lacks, when it comes to value, proximity and safety, it can't be beat.

Now that the Fed has decided not to raise this month, most agree that means a maximum of two rate hikes this year. Inventory will continue to be low as property moves at a good rate, and prices will most likely rise, making FW seem a comparative bargain to many.

My pick of the week:
13213 WARBURTON DR, FORT WASHINGTON, MD 20744
List Price: $279,900

(Disclaimer: I'm not a real estate agent and have nothing to do with that property.)
