Soon i'll be moving to Silver Spring in Maryland. I'd like to know how do gay people live there? I heard something about many prejudiced people and the low percentage of gay people there. Anyway, let me know anything.

1. "Silver Spring" is a massive area covering dozens of neighborhoods and roughly 250,000 people.
2. I can't imagine you running into major issues in any of those neighborhoods, at least relative to most places in the U.S. Obviously there is always a chance of someone being a jack@ss to you, but that'll always be the case within our lifetimes, unfortunately.
3. if you're moving to downtown Silver Spring you might want to look up Dan Reed:
justupthepike@gmail.com https://twitter.com/justupthepike . Not to say he's our resident gay, as there's a sizeable LGBTQ population around here, but he's a vocal Silver Spring booster and blogger who happens to be gay and I'm sure he'd be happy to discuss further w/you.

Silver Spring is pretty diverse; I haven't seen much evidence of prejudice against any group of people since I've been living here for the past year.
Not sure about gay establishments in Silver Spring proper, but with proximity to Takoma Park and the Metro, other (more) gay-friendly spots are seemingly just a relatively short drive/train ride away.

My boss it gay and lives in Downtown Silver Spring and loves it. I'm not sure he would live any place else in the DC area.
