I have got a job in Reston, VA & wife has got a job in Bethesda,MD.

We want to take up some place, so that we can have better commute time.I have an option to work remotely 2 days a week, but she does not. So, may be preferably closer to bethesda where we can avoid local taxes. Can you guys please recommend where should we live?

What would be the safest & the best place to live, considering daily we have to commute to Bethesda,MD and 3days a week commute to Reston,VA respectively.

I would really appreciate any guidance & thanks in advance

Budget 2bedroom apt between 1800-2100$ To rent for now. Day care centers are more priority than schools now

Sorry I don’t know anything about apartments. But I’ll bump your thread so hopefully, you’ll get more answers.

Best of luck!

An older apartment/condo rental around Bethesda would make sense, e.g. along Battery Ln. (The Glens, Whitehall, etc). You'll have to deal with 495, but I'm not sure there's any way around that considering the two job locations.

I think you will struggle to find something in that price range in those areas.

The area between Reston and Bethesda includes some of the most expensive real estate in the United States. Not sure where you live now, but in McLean, Great Falls, Potomac, Chevy Chase and Bethesda, multi-million dollar homes are not unusual. Many are also on acreage.
