I live in New York City. I dont know anyone who has experience with this doctor but in highly interested in his work and research.

His name is Jay. P Shah. He is a physiatrist and clinical researcher at the National institute of Health in Bethesda Maryland. He is currently in the works of treating myofascial pain. He has held seminar(s) for identifying and treating myofascial trigger points.

I have myofascial pain syndrome and live in New York city. If you were me and were trying to ... see him or follow his research or people have been trained by him how in the world would I go about doing that.

I have not sent him any emails yet. I am at the point of taking a trip by plane and showing up at his office to be Frank. Thoughts, suggestions, reviews, experiences or ideas please.

just show up and you'll be shown the door. That's not what normal people do. They call, see if they're taking new patients, and schedule an appointment.

Best bet is to investigate group(s) related, etc. - most (if not all) health issues have groups that are dedicated to providing such info.

I would echo skeddy's advice to call the office directly and ask for a phone or in-person consult.

It's easy to Google his information and call to make an appointment. But first research a place to stay.
