I’ve been offered a job in Falls Church and want to live in MD for my wife’s work. Where is someplace that won’t make me commute for more than 45 minutes that is also within my home buying price range of about 350K? We’d like a decent neighborhood. Thanks.

I don't think this exists, but I guess it would depend on where she works, where in Falls Church you work, and what kind of housing you're looking for (condo, townhouse, or single-family).

unless you're commuting by helicopter, that's not happening.

You're lucky if you can get from Ft. Washington to Alexandria in that short of time with traffic (let alone Falls Church)!

The closer you are to beltway and the WW bridge the better. But in all honesty that Virginia traffic will easily make this commute well over 45 minutes. But Ft Washington/Oxon Hill is your best bet imo which is why I suggested it. Is the job close enough to the metro for that to be a viable option? I live in Largo so it would be a straight shot on the silver line. There are townhomes, even SFH at that price point. But the SFH’s move fast.

And yet there are people here in SoMD do it every single day.

I taught with a guy back in the 1980s who commuted from west of Hagerstown to Temple Hills.

Traffic in the 80's was MUCH different than traffic now.
