Looking for reviews on the Clarksburg area of Montgomery County and how bad the commute would be to Silver Spring, DC or Columbia areas.

They would all be terrible commutes. I think the least terrible would be to Silver Spring. Slightly better would be to Columbia if you take 270 to 370 accross county, then 29 north. You could also take a northern route to I-70, then south on 29.

If you are going into DC, I would connect with a MARC train. It is a little over an hour on the train from Boyds to Union Station.
