What is the better direction to be heading to White Oak --coming from Columbia? or coming from the East like Crofton or Gambrils etc????

Any info at all would be really helpful.

THANKS

Coming from Columbia would be a better commute to White Oak / Silver Spring hands down. There is going to be traffic to and from Columbia as well but not nearly as long a drive as it would be to Croften area.

Thanks, is it because of distance or is there just too much traffic coming towards DC from the anne arundel area? I am coming down for the weekend to look at neighborhoods, should I just forget about AA altogether if I need a decent commute? Are there other areas like columbia that I should check out. Need a decent commute to White Oak and decent schools are critical and I don't want Mont Co. THANKS VERY MUCH FOR ANY ADDITIONAL INFO.

Columbia, Ellicot City, Catonsville is your best bet. Crofton is too far, with too much traffic, to be something good for a commute to White Oak. For those areas, it's a straight shot down 29 to White Oak.

Columbia is close to White Oak. I think the shortest commute might be Columbia.
