If I hadn't been warned about it by someone who lives near there, it definitely would have gotten me when I traveled up that way.
Oh man I remember getting an old fashion speeding ticket, with the cop car and everything, there about 3 years ago at about 2am after prom. I would have much rather gotten the $40 photo ticket then the 112 regular ticket w/ points. No one else on the roads either and the cop tried to nail me with speeding in a school zone. Judge threw that out though, I think he realized there weren't many elementary schoolers crossing 97 at that time of day.

I got flashed by cameras on two occasions and have never received a ticket. Guess I'm lucky.

I have a radar detector in my car. (They are legal in Maryland.)

Can radar detectors detect speed cameras?

Fight these tickets by ignoring them. In Arizona these have to be "served" before they hold any legal weight just sending it in the mail is not sufficient. It's likely the laws are similar in MD do some research before you pay the "driving tax"

The law here may not be the same. Everyone should find out before following that advice.
