Hi. My husband and I are thinking of moving to the area around Sunflower Circle, Sunflower Place, in Mitchellville Maryland. We would like to know what the crime rate in that neighborhood is, and any other information that might be useful to new potential residents. Thank you.

Crime is low in the Mitchellville area. I would contact the local police dept. for crime stats in the area. There is a website, www.crimereports.com , whicdh is very useful. My check of Mitchellville shows very low crime in general compared to surrounding areas.

While it would be nice to high more high-end stores within Prince George's, I still manage to spend much to most of my money in the county. Macy's and some of the other stores are fine for me; while the presence of high-end commercial and retail is important, I personally don't need it to be happy here. My neighborhood is quiet. While one child attends a mediocre school (that mainly is a function of how the school is run, not an inability to obtain a good education), the other child's school is a top-ranking elementary in Maryland.

Good luck.
