Hello I am a college graduate from CT and I just moved to Christopher Avenue in Gaithersburg, MD and I was just wondering about the environment. Is it safe? Is the town boring? Are there any activities to do in Gaithersburg?

Hey ... I am also wondering about the same thing ...

I am considering to sign a 12 mo lease in Hunt Club apartment, which is in Christopher Ave as well.

I lived in the Watkins Station apartments for 2 1/2 years and never had a problem. It's a quiet area, but near grocery stores and other shopping. You could be in far worse places.

It's so-so...you are right by Lakeforest Mall, which has been experiencing some really bad incidents in the last few years. You are likely to be disgusted by traffic going in/out of I-270, especially at rush hour. You are also right by Montgomery Village which seems to stir up things.

To put this way: It's not bad. But it's not great, either.

Hey there, well - I am considering Watkins station as well ...
How is your experience with this complex? I went to apartmentratings.com and found horrible rating and comments ... but when I visited the place, it seemed allright. Brandon (the guy who showed me around) was nice and very helpful. I just wasn't sure because of the bad rating and comments. Thanks !

I know it's been awhile since anyone posted about this topic, but I'm also considering Watkins Station Apartments. I've noticed the bad ratings on apartmentratings.com, but I also noted that these ratings are really old, and it seems they have new management and have been renovated since then.

I've also read in the forum about how everyone advises to avoid the Lakeforest Mall area, but I'm wondering if anyone has some real experience with living in the Watkins Station Apartments or the general area around them. Is it really that bad? (I'm a single female in her 20's, if that makes a difference.) Thanks for any help you can give me!
