Hello,

My wife and I have been following this forum for quite a while since we started looking for houses in MoCo, and we appreciate all the posters for great information.

We have been looking for houses mostly in Rockville area, and have been quite frustrated with neighborhood search.
It seems like the good school district areas have too much competition, and other areas have some sketchy areas where we don't want to be..

So we would like some suggestions as to where we should look.

Here are some of our specs and criteria we think are important in our future home.

Budget: up to 500K, but preferably mid 400K,
Preferably SFH but TH is OK too
No kids yet, but planning to have some soon (so ES will be more into consideration than HS)

1. Safe and Clean neighborhood
2. Decent commute (I work in DC, near CU-Brookland) - I don't expect 15-20 min commute, but around 1 hour or so will be fine.(either driving or metro)
3. Decent-good schools - for kids, but also for investment purposes

Recently, we came across a subdivision called Manor Lake(North of Norbeck Rd) and Manor Wood(South of Norbeck, west of Arctic) which seems to have nice houses within our budget.

So if you know anything about these two subdivision or have any suggestions in terms of any good neighborhood you think would be good for us, please leave comments!!

Thank you in advance.
