Oxon Hill Elementary is also across the street from private St. Columba Catholic. Some reviews I saw online of Oxon Hill Elem. were not very complimentary so I've been wondering about that.

John Hanson Montessori (Oxon Hill Road) is a public school and seems to get high reviews on the school rating sites I have looked at...they have a regular track and a French Immersion track.

Other private options beyond the Catholic school I mentioned are Beddow School and Maryland International Day (spanish immersion)...both of which seem to be $8-$10k year.
Is there a website for the school portion of St. Columba? I can't seem to find one...and thanks for the post!

Default Private School

Maryland International Day School is outstanding; I just attended their open house recently.

What do you FW folks know about it?

I was also impressed with the school after attending an open house. The price has gone up recently beyond the $9k that it used to be. It is now approx. $14k without aftercare included...however it is still an impressive option for parents interested in bilingual education. Everyday and every class is not full immersion so be aware if that is your preference...they rotate between English only and Spanish only classes in the subject areas. It is nice to have this as an option nearby. The graduates seem to move on to an impressive list of area private schools. The students that I met were very sharp. It can probably approach $20k if participating in aftercare and the study abroad trips.
