Hello,
I checked the transportation website of Maryland, but could not get any useful information. Does anyone know if there is a bus service from University of Maryland, College Park campus to the New Carrollton train station. I need to get to the airport every Friday and heard that a train goes from New Carrollton to BWI. Also if there is no transportation, does anyone know how much a cab would cost from UM College park to the station?
any suggestions would help.
thanks.

I don't know about a bus from UM to BWI. never heard of it. You checked WMATA website? Your best bet would be to go New Carrollton (the F6 is quicker or R12) and take the MARC train from New Carrollton to BWI. I don't know what time you have to be to BWI but there is limited options for that route.

Default Bus from College park to New Carrollton

Thanks, So I guess I just take a bus from college park the F6 or F12 to new carrollton and then take the MARC or Amtrak to BWI.
that sounds great.

There is an express metro bus that goes from the Greenbelt metro station to BWI airport. I think it is the B30. Look on www.wmata.com . Greenbelt is the last stop on the green line (the same stop that College Park is on). I think this would be a much faster option than getting all the way to New Carrolton then taking the train. Maybe others who have actually done this can chime in.

No matter what way you choose, this will be a long trip especially once you add in all the time waiting to make the various connections. If you can afford it, I would take a cab or supershuttle.
