Montgomery county values no growth, I mean smart growth. That is why it took the ICC 30 years before construction.

The gas tax is on the verge of reality. The CCT will happen and the interchange will get built as well. The city of Gaithersburg has been waiting to see if the state would pass the gas tax before they decided as a city to take on debt to build the interchange. You asked if I was willing to make a wager. Yes I am willing to make a wager because I can almost 100% guarantee that I am more in the know about these things than you. No offense though.

If it is the same company, what is the difference? Wouldn't the same workers build the homes even if the materials may be different?

The reason I ask is because I saw a model and liked it, but then a google search on Ryan homes which revealed terrible construction issues that many people have had with their homes.

Different states, counties, and cities have different building codes. Montgomery County and the city of Gaithersburg have very strict building codes that forces developers to build good products.

"The city of Gaithersburg has been waiting to see if the state would pass the gas tax before they decided as a city to take on debt to build the interchange."

The city of Gaithersburg take on debt?

I highly doubt that happens.

Mark my words, "The Watkins Mill Interchange will never be build in my life time. Neither will the Watkins Mill Towncenter. The CCT and the Purple line will only exist in talk, but never in reality."

Haven't you learned that if I post something on here, it's probably true. The Watkins Mill Interchange is in the engineering phase currently. Here is a timeline for you:

Construction will start in 2015
Gazette.Net: New interchange on I-270 could relieve gridlock on Md. 355

12/3/2012 - Gaithersburg Presentation from Municap Regarding a Possible Tax Increment Finance District for Funding the Future Watkins Mill Interchange

03/29/2013 - Maryland Senate upon prior approval of Maryland House of Delegates approves gas tax for transportation projects.
Maryland Senate approves gas-tax increase; gun-control bill survives House panel’s fight - The Washington Post

So what does this all mean?

Well, it means the CCT BRT line and Watkins Mill Interchange will happen. Period!

Well, there's no funding for the interchange, Gaithersburg is a debt free city, And the state, county, and city are broke.

I know about the gas tax, but the purple line and CCT are more of a priority. Everyone wants an interchange, but zero funding currently, and when they do fing money, it will probably go to other projects. I've got a little more info then you may believe.

I know this may be hard for you to understand since you have your mind made up that this is not going to be built. I know you have been living in your home with no entertainment town center and you are angry about that, but it's not a question of if, it's a question of when:

I'm just joking with you. I know they will build it too, but not sure when. It could take 10-20 years, but Ido think they will eventually build the interchange. Hopefully they will build sooner.

This will be built in less than 10 years. You can bet on that. It will be done in 2020 and 2022 is probably as far out as it could be delayed. Still less than 10 years. By the way, the town center will most likely be built as soon as construction starts so you won't have to wait for it to be done.

I too am considering purchasing in Parklands.

Any updated thoughts regarding future of the Interchange and Town Center? More specifically, I would love to hear thoughts on the potential affect of interchange and Town Center on Parklands home values. Would they cause prices to rise above the average expected appreciation for the area?
