Hello, I'm new to the DC area and am looking for some solid Christian churches to visit. Looking for a community that has a decent sized 20-30 somethings population and sound theological teaching based on Scripture. Thanks in advance!

Yes - they're really huge, and draw congregants from the whole metro area. Their pastor comes from an unusual background.

Demographics? I can't front, I am down with integration but I must have a good black church. (Yes Marine boy, I know it is a double standard).

you might want to try Grace Community Church in Arlington, they meet at Key Elementary right near the Court House Metro, it pulls in a lot of the 25-35 year olds who live in the nearby Wilson Boulevard apartment complexes

Are you interested in a paticular denomination, non-denominational, how far from where you live are you interested in traveling for service? Does the size of the congregation matter to you? There are plenty of churches in the area, so you'll have a lot to choose from.

I attend From the Heart Church Ministries. Our Sunday services and bible study are streamed live over the web if you want to check us out before visiting. You can learn more about us at the website below.

thanks for all the posts. I'm protestant, but I don't gravitate toward any particular denomination. I'll go to either a denominational or non-denominational church provided they teach sound doctrine. Size doesn't matter to me either, but since I'd like to have a 20-30 somethings population, smaller churches tend not to have that age range and consist of mostly families. And as far as distance goes, I'd just like to be able to access it from the DC metro line. Thanks!
