Well, not exactly France nor Remulak, but close! Leaving sunny Arizona and moving to the Tyson's Corner area for jobs and would like a half hour commute or less. Does anyone have any input as to areas to avoid when setting up housekeeping? Not fond of crime or floods! Will be renting for a year or two, searching for a single family detached, schools are not an issue. Looks like a single story is something else I can bid farewell to...no life experience with public transit, split levels, basements or winter precip. My life, she's gonna change, big time! Appreciate any tips or suggestions!

Try asking on the northern Virginia forum, and you'll probably get more answers.

Dealing with traffic in this area really sucks. You might want to consider stepping outside your comfort zone and adopting transit into your life. They're building a new Metro line out to Tysons and rebuilding that city to be walkable, so you'd be getting ahead of that curve.
